To create an ebook requires converting your manuscript into an HTML format. And to make the process as painless as possible, there are certian Do's and Don'ts you should be aware of.
This file refers to Microsoft Word, but you can use any word processing program you prefer, such as Open Office.

I started my career in Graphic Design in 1981 with a degree from the University of Washington, and have designed and formatted hundreds of books, annual reports, calendars, flyers, brochures as well as designed, formatted and coded over a hundred websites in PHP, Flash and HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), which is the backbone language of EPUB and MOBI ebooks.
As an expert in HTML/XHTML coding (since 1998), I can take your raw MS and produce a professional e-book file, ready for publication to Amazon, Barne & Noble and iBookstore.

Requirements
We only format your manuscript for publication. We do not supply editing services, so please make sure your final manuscript is free from typographical and grammatical errors.
We do correct blatant mistakes as they are discovered and will note the changes in our final report when completed.

- We do not format for the following genres / themes: erotica, sexually explicit content, hate or racist themes

FICTION (ebook)
For the typical, straight-forward FICTION novel we use a a flat-fee system based on the size of the book, as long as no formatting complexities are required. Many designs include a map or a photo at the beginning or end of the book. To keep our rates low, we allow up to 10 images (basic layout) for each eBook conversion at no additional cost.
Cost include both epub and mobi files.
Novellas or Short Stories
- Less than 17,500 words $49
Novels (fiction)
- Up to 80,000 words (about 320 pages) - $99
- Up to 150,000 words - $159
- 150,001 and up - $219^
^ Approx. 65 Chapter headings.
Images
Coding your book cover image in the ebook conversion is included and not part of the following count limits. If you use a graphic for each chapter, we allow for up to 10 images at no extra charge.
- Allow up to 10 images at no extra charge
- Titles with 11-30 images will be charged an additional $30 fee.
- Titles with more than 30 images will require a custom quote for conversion.
- Special formatting, such as embedded fonts, special indents, are subject to additonal charges.*
NON-FICTION (ebook)
NON-FICTION typically requires special formatting requirements due to graphics, photos, tables and layout specifications. Price for non-fiction ebook formatting starts at $199* - additional costs may apply depending upon complexity.
Memoirs and Histories: Basic narrative non-fiction titles without lists, footnotes, tables or other major complexities.
Business Books, Theology, Self-Help: Standard trade non-fiction titles with a mix of lists, footnotes, unique paragraph formatting, tables, images, sidebars, pull quotes, and/or other complexities throughout.
Cookbooks, Poker / Chess manuals, technical, medical, scientific, mathematical, bible commentaries, excercise, etc. Complex titles that include formatting on every page, (multi) two-column formatting, extensive foreign language or symbols, and/or other complexities.
PRINT / POD (print on demand)
We can create a professionally designed print book for you to enjoy, share or sell. Price for Layout and Design starts at $299* - additional costs may apply depending upon complexity of book. Please contact us for a quote.

With everything in life there are always exceptions. If your novel requires special formatting, such as poetry, screenplays ,floating images ,embedded fonts or other formatting that is not your typical novel, we reserve the right to charge higher rates than stated above, or switch to the per-page rate as with Non-Fiction titles.
